Day 3 Capilano Suspension Bridge

Day 3 was dedicated to visiting Capilano Suspension Bridge Park. It is located over the Lion Gate's Bridge in Vancouver's version of Marin County. Apparently, the bridge was designed with the Golden Gate Bridge in mind, but they decided to paint it blue green to blend it in with the surroundings. I like to equate Vancouver's sights to their San Franciscan counterparts if possible.

Capilano Suspension Bridge Park offers a free shuttle from downtown Vancouver to the park. I got on at the Hyatt Regency shuttle stop, but that wasn't the best move. Their website was misleading as it appeared that each stop had its own shuttle dedicated to it when it reality, the Hyatt was the second stop for the shuttle. The first stop before Hyatt, was at Canada Place. That meant that by the time the shuttle arrived at the Hyatt, there were already visitors on the shuttle and limited seats to pick up all the people who had gathered at the Hyatt. By pure stroke of luck, I managed to be one of the last people who snagged a seat on the bus at the Hyatt stop. Lesson learned, if you want a seat on the Capilano shuttle, go to the Canada Place stop.

The main attraction at the park is the suspension bridge, which I thought would be scarier. The other sights at the park are the tree top adventures and cliff walk. Here are some pictures from Capilano. Afterwards, I took the free shuttle back into downtown Vancouver and had a lamb wrap at a place called Fresh Donair. Donair is the Canadian version of doener.
